# Bot Reply

The **Bot Reply** unit is used to send messages back to the user. It supports text, interactive options, and media such as images, files, and videos.

## Steps

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Add a Bot Reply unit

Add the **Bot Reply** unit at the point where you want the chatbot to send a response.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose the response type

You can configure different types of replies, including:

* **Text Message** — Sends a simple text response.
* **Interactive Buttons** — Sends a message with selectable response options.
* **Image** — Sends an image by URL or uploaded file.
* **File** — Sends an attached file.
* **Video** — Sends a video by URL or uploaded file.
 {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Configure interactive buttons

An interactive button message can include:

* **Message** — The main text shown to the user.
* **Footer** — Optional text displayed below the message.
* **Buttons** — Up to three response options.
* **Button Type**
 * **Text** — Sends a predefined reply.
 * **URL** — Opens a link.

If more than three response options are added, the platform automatically converts them into a **list**, which can contain up to 10 items. The list name can also be customized.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add media

For images, files, and videos, you can either:

* Enter a publicly accessible URL.
* Upload the media directly from your device.

For images and videos, a preview is displayed inside the unit after the media is added.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### What’s next?

Continue to **Fallback** to define what should happen when the chatbot does not recognize or match the user’s input.
